LoKI head

The Lisbon KInetics (LoKI) Suite is a collection of simulation tools, mostly intended for plasma chemistry studies.

The tools are published as open-source software (under the GNU general public license 3.0), as part of the LoKI-suite project on the GitHub platform.

The tool suite is available for users to perform low-temperature plasma simulations, and for modelers / developers to continue testing it and/or contributing for its development and improvement.

Hosting and funding

The LoKI Suite is developed by the Modelling and Simulation team of group N-Plasmas Reactive: Modelling and Engineering (N-PRiME) with the Instituto de Plasmas e Fusão Nuclear of Instituto Superior Técnico.
The LoKI Suite is one main outcome of former projects KIT-PLASMEBA (KInetic Testbed for PLASMa Environmental and Biological Applications) (PTDC/FISPLA/1243/2014) and PSI.COM (Plasma Surface Interaction (Data and Tools) COupled Modelling) (2022.04128.PTDC), funded by the Portuguese Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT). The development of the LoKI Suite continues to by partially supported by FCT's Strategic Funds for IPFN, the Dutch Science Foundation NWO, and ASML.
